Where there is a will there is a way.

Where there is a will there is a way. :

This proverb is very important to every one of us since it drives across a very important truth - if we have the resolve then we can surmount any difficulty in file.

If we have the will-power to succeed then we will automatically find a way or method to achieve it.

We can’t expect others to guide us all the time. One must have that inner strength and positive attitude to win.

This will enable us to find a way to succeed. I would like to give you a few examples of people who were judged by others as useless… but who took life as a challenge and went on to become eminent personalities in world history.

These are real life incidents which should always inspire us to break all stumbling blocks in life and achieve our goals.

“It doesn’t matter what he does, he will never amount to anything." - Albert Einstein’s teacher said to his father one day in 1895.

Einstein went on to become one of the greatest inventors of all time. Had he or his father been discouraged by his teacher’s words, Einstein would never have been able to invent anything.

‘We don’t like their sound and guitar music is on the way Out.’ - Decca Recording Company rejecting the greatest music bands of all times - The Beatles in 1962.

The Beatles are a rage still the world over. Their albums are creating new records in audio sales so many years after they have stopped recording or even performing. Why? The Beatles believed that they had the talent to make a name for them and worked with confidence towards that goal.

“Your son Tommy is too stupid to learn. Get him out of school.” - This was the note that the teacher sent in a little boy’s pocket as he walked home one day.

The boy’s mother decided to teach the little boy herself from that day. Today we just cannot imagine life without his inventions. Although at that time his mother did not realize that he would achieve so much yet, she kept goading him on and the little boy is remembered to this day with love and gratitude for his genius and scientific discoveries. He is Thomas Alva Edison. A fact that many people may not know is that Edison had only three months of formal schooling and he was partially deaf too.

Michael Phelps, the swimming phenomenon from the USA, won the most number of Olympic Gold medals – 14 – by any individual. He is the holder of seven world records. Phelps also holds the record for the most number of medals in a Olympic games with a tally of 8 that he won at the Beijing Olympics. Phelps started swimming after he was diagnosed with Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) as a child. His hard work saw him achieve the National record at the age of ten for his age group. He qualified for the Summer Olympics of 2000 when he was just 15 years of age.

His is a clear example of how a disorder or handicap can be converted into a talent / achievement by a steely will and the desire to succeed.
