Dear Yaupon,
What is matter with you? You have not been at school for more than a week, and the Headmaster is asking where you are and what you are up to. I hope you are not ill. Please write, and say when you are coming back.
You missed the foot-ball match that our team played against the team of the Mission School last Monday. And I can tell you the Captain was jolly cross when he found you were not there. Salix took your place. However, in spite of your absence, we won by two goals to one. If you had been, we would have won by higher margin.
Our team has been scheduled to one more match against the team of the City School on the next Sunday. We all hope that you will be alright by that time and you will take your place in our team.
I hope, you will soon be back again.
Yours sincerely,
your signature
