Beam : (noun)

1 ) Long thick bar or metal, wood or concrete, etc…supported at both ends that carries the weight of a part of the building or some other structure
He bought ten beams for his building.

2 ) Ray or stream of light from a lamp, the sun or the moon, etc…
The beam of light from the car’s headlight could be seen for miles.
(
3 ) Bright or happy look or smile
His face wore a beam of pleasure.
She talked to me with a beam of delight.
Beam : (verb)
(
1 ) (of the sun) send out light and warmth
The sun beams majestically.
(
2 ) Smile happily and cheerfully
The winner beamed with satisfaction.
