What is the difference between Tar and Tare? :
Tar :
(
1 ) Thick black sticky liquid, hard when cold, obtained from coal and used in maki8ng roads, to preserve timber
The High-Ways Department has purchased 100 barrels of tar.
Tare :
(
1 ) Weight of the container in which goods are packed or of the vehicle carrying them
(
2 ) Allowance made for this when goods are weighed together with container or vehicle
