What is the difference between Offstage and Upstage?

What is the difference between Offstage and Upstage? :


Offstage :

( 1 ) Not on the stage

Not visible to the audience

At this point in the play, most of the actors are offstage.



Upstage :

( 1 ) At or towards the back of the theater stage

Where is the upstage door?



( 2 ) Snobbish

They are much too upstage for us.
