What is the difference between Gauge and Gaze? :
Gauge : (verb)
(
1 ) Measure something accurately
It is the duty of the weather men to gauge rainfalls.

2 ) Make an estimate of something
Can you gauge the strength of the wind from the movements of the two trees?

3 ) Make a judgment about something
I gauged that it was not a good moment to speak to her.
Gaze : (verb)
(
1 ) Look long and steadily at something / someone in surprise or admiration
She gazed at me in disbelief when I told her the news.
(
2 ) Look at something / someone
She was the most beautiful woman I had ever gazed upon.
