Postpone something
He deferred his departure to a later date.

2 ) Give ways to someone or someone’s wishes, judgment, etc…out of respect
On technical matters, I defer to the experts.
I defer to her greater experience in such things.
Differ : (verb)
(
1 ) Be unlike
Not to be the same as someone / something
The brothers differ widely in their tastes.
In this respect, Hindi differ s from Urdu.
(
2 ) Disagree
I differ with you on that.
We differ on many things.
