What is the difference between Cede and Seed? :
Cede : (verb)
(
1 ) Give up one’s rights to or possession of something
We shall never cede even an inch of our territory to any neighboring state.
Seed : (noun)
(
1 ) Part of a plant from which a new plant of the same kind can grow
Sow a row of seed in this field.
He bought a packet of sunflower seed.
Give me a handful of grass seed.
Pea seed can be sown in April.

2 ) Begin to look shabby or become less able, efficient, etc…
He started to drink too much and gradually ran to seed.
