1 ) Piece of wood bent into a curve by a tight string joining its ends used as weapon for shooting arrows

They were hunting with bows and arrows.

2 ) Bending of the head or body as a greeting

She acknowledged my greetings with a bow.

He made a bow and left the room.



Bow : (verb)

1 ) Bend the head or body as a sign of respect or as a greeting

We all bowed to the President.

The congregation bowed their heads in prayer.

2 ) Bend someone / something under or as if under a weight

His back was bowed with age.
