What is the difference between Boast and Boost? :


Boast :

( 1 ) Talk about one’s own achievements, abilities, etc…with too much pride and satisfaction

He is always boasting about his brilliant success at college.

He boasted of being the best players in the team.



Boost : (verb)

( 1 ) Increase the strength or value of something

Help or encourage someone / something

We should boost production.

The unexpected win boosted the team’s morale.



Boost : (noun)

( 1 ) Encouragement

Help

Increase

There was a boost in sales of cloths after the introduction of new designs.

I gave her confidence a boost.
