What is the difference between Avocation and Vocation? :
Avocation :
( 1 ) Something done for pleasure or hobby
Gardening is his avocation.
Vocation :
( 1 ) Person’s trade or profession
By vocation, he is a lawyer.
You should find your true vocation in your life.
( 2 ) Feeling that one is called to and qualified for – a certain kind of work
He has a vocation to become a priest.
Nursing is a vocation as well as profession.
