Train Modelling
Get some cardboard boxes or cartons. Paste them all together with their open side up. In the front, you fix two card tubes as buffers and paste one on the top like a funnel of the engine. Draw circles on the sides of the cartons and paint them to look like wheels. You can use your own imagination to improve on this.
Making a Burglar Alarm
Take a piece of card 15 cms long and 2.5 cms wide and bend it. Then tape two strips of aluminium foil, on the two ends. Connect two wires to the aluminium foils. The other ends of the wire should be made into an electrical circuit as shown earlier, with a bulb and a battery included. Keep the bend card under the doormat. When someone steps on the mat you will see the bulb lighting up. This is because the aluminium foils touch each other when someone steps on it, making the circuit complete. This can be used as a burglar alarm if properly designed.
