Some Couplets
Beauties of English Index
There are some couplets or distiches which contain two rhyming lines.
Many epigrams are in the form of couplets.
Examples :
When I am dead, I hope it may be said,
His sins were scarlet, but his books were read.
(Hilaire Belloc)
He first deceased, she for a little tried
To live without him, liked it not and died.
(Old Epitaph)
