Slangs beginning with P :Packet : A man's genitals are his packet, especially when the size is being considered. Pad the bill : If someone pads the bill, they try to add extra things onto their expenses to get more money out of a company. Palooka : (USA) A palooka is a large, clumsy man. Papyrus : Papyrus = paper, used by people who prefer electronic communication and dislike papers. Email it to me- I don't do papyrus. Park your arse : (UK) If someone tells you to park your arse, they are telling you to sit down. Pash : Pash is to kiss someone passionately. Pavarotti : (UK) A Pavarotti is a 'tenner' (ten pounds) because the singer is a tenor. Peach : Someone peaches when they inform the police, especially if they are telling them about someone they associate with. Peckham Rolex : (UK) A Peckham Rolex is an electronic tag fitted to criminals. Pedo : A pedo is a slang term for a paedophile (pedophile)- someone who molests children sexually. It is also used as a term of abuse. Peeping Tom : A peeping Tom is someone who likes spy on people when they are naked or having sex: a voyeur. Peeps : (USA) Peeps means person/people. Peg : A peg is a leg. Pegging : When underage people hang around outside shops asking people to buy them cigarettes or alcohol, they are pegging. Pen pusher : A pen pusher is a bureaucrat or office worker. Pencil geek : (USA) A pencil geek is someone who studies excessively and is boring. Peng : (UK) Someone that is peng is attractive. Perp : (USA) A perp is a perpetrator, or someone who is believed to have committed a crime. Petrolhead : (UK) A petrolhead is a person who is crazy about cars. Phishing : Phishing is tricking people into giving their personal details, especially things like bank or credit card details, often using emails to send people to fake websites. Pickled : If someone is pickled, they are drunk. Piece : A piece is a gun. Pig : 'Pig' is a slang term for the police (It can be used in the singular or plural): The pigs came and broke the party up. Careful! There's a pig coming. Pigpen : If a place is very untidy and dirty, it is a pigpen. ('Pigsty' is also used.) Piss it up against the wall : If people piss something up against the wall, especially money, they waste it. Pissed as a fart : (UK) If someone is as pissed as a fart, they are extremely drunk. Pissing in the wind : If someone is pissing in the wind, they are wasting their time by doing something that will never work. Playa : A playa is somebody who has many partners or who sleeps with a lot of people. (A phonetic spelling of 'player' because they 'play the field') Pleb : A pleb is someone common, without much taste. (It is an abbreviation of 'plebian'.) Plinking : (USA) Plinking is firing a gun for fun and not to kill someone or for criminal purposes. Polari : (UK) Polari was gay slang used by some in the UK until the 1960s. Pom : (AU) Poms are the British. Pommophobic : Someone who is pommophobic hates Apple computers.('Pomme' is 'apple' in French.) Pony : (UK) A pony is £25. Ponzi scheme : A ponzi scheme is a fraudulent investment opportunity that offers huge rewards and pays returns out of new money coming in rather than real earnings, named after Charles K. Ponzi, who scammed people for millions of dollars in the USA. Pop : When a woman pops, she gives birth. Pop a vein : If someone pops a vein, they become uncontrollably angry. Pop it : When someone pops it, they die. Poppers : The drug amyl nitrate is known as poppers. Porker : A porker is a person who is very overweight. Porn : (UK) If something's porn, it's really good. Posse : A posse is a criminal gang. Pottymouth : Someone who is or has a pottymouth swears a lot. Pretexting : Pretexting is obtaining personal information, like phone records, by pretending to be somebody. Pretty darn : (USA) 'Pretty darn' means 'very' or 'a lot': My computer is pretty darn fast. Psycho : A psycho is someone who is crazy or irrational. (It can be used as a noun or adjective.) Puggled : (UK) Puggled means drunk. Pugly : (UK) Someone who is pugly is very ugly indeed. (pig ugly) Puke : Puke is vomit, and can be used as a noun or verb. Pukka : (UK) Something that is pukka is top quality or the genuine article, not fake. Pull a Jolie : If a celebrity pulls a Jolie, they do some very public charitable act. (It comes from the actress Angelina Jolie who likes adopting children from developing countries.) Pulled : If you get pulled, or are pulled, you are stopped by the police or arrested. Punter : (UK) A punter is a gambler, customer or client- someone paying for a service. Put on your raincoat : If you put on your raincoat, protect yourself from STD's and pregnancy by using a condom.
