Negative Pronouns :


(1) No, no one, nobody, none and nothing are called Negative Pronouns.


Examples :


  • Jothika showed no interest in the new film.


  • The police did nothing to control the mob.


  • No one came forward to take the offer.


  • Nobody is associated with this project.


  • None is there.




    (2) Neither is also called Negative Pronoun.


    Note :


    Neither is the negative counterpart of either.

    It is always used in the singular.

    It can come before a noun.


    Examples :


  • Neither of the allegations is true.


  • Neither of the students was there.
