An abstract noun is a noun that you cannot sense.
It is the name we give to an emotion, ideal or idea.
They have no physical existence.
You can't see, hear, touch, smell or taste them.
Examples :
- Always speak the truth.
- Honesty is the best policy.
- He is the boy of obedience.
- Never tell a lie.
- Asoka was the King of Wisdom.
- The judgement is postponed.
- Youth should be improved.
- Laughter is the best medicines.
- The elephant has great strength.
- The child needs care and nutrition.
