Swine’s is a formal word for pig. It feeds on waste. It has no instinct to taste and enjoy anything good. So casting pearls or diamonds before swine which doesn’t know their true value is foolish. Among men also there are some who are mean and stubborn like the pigs. They cannot recognize really valuable things in life. Giving precious things to people who cannot appreciate them is like casting pearls before swine.
